Here’s a couple of things I saw over the weekend, both I hope worth your while as we consider what we do to uncover and enable the artisan in us:

Sam Connif. Sam wrote “Be More Pirate”, which many of you will be familiar with. Here he’s recounting some aspects of his exploration into uncertainty, including doing stand-up at the comedy store. There are some great insights here, and I love the piece about Accountancy Pirates - making accountancy sexy…… (There’s another angle from a friend of mine who runs a practice called the F word. ) it’s a reminder that we don’t have to be be serious about the way we do what matters to us.

The Marginalian on Genius. I’m finding the idea of the daimon I wrote about on Friday a valuable frame. Here’s another angle on genius from one of my favourite writers.

Anti Mimetic on rites of passage versus rights of passage. A great question around our determination to do the work that matters.

Have a great week.
