Morning Ed. I find it interesting the way we have abstracted leadership to something we can do a course on and apply irrespective of context. Something like “management with an extra shot”. I was thinking of your post with Troop’s piece yesterday. That’s living with me for a while.
For me at least, I have yet to embrace the modern world of the mechanism. I am foremost a social being. I think that is why I can stand outside of organizational structures and see them for what they are. It isn’t about being objective. No one is. It is more about being an alien or the trickster or The Stranger as Georg Simmel described and I wrote about here - https://edbrenegar.substack.com/p/the-stranger-in-network-theory.
