Indeed - and of course regeneration. There's something of "half lives" here - and the impact that our obsession with scale - "eliminate, simplify, automate, scale" has on our ability to recognise natural cycles.
As one who has spent a lot of time thinking about transition, and experiencing it, I do like the framework of separation, transition, and reincorporation. It is that third step which is the most dynamic. We could create a taxonomy of “re’s”. Rebirth, recreation, recovery, reinvention, restoration, restart, reconstruction, reconnection, and on. It is this stage where have the least experience and where we need each other more. We need each to go through this sequence, because it doesn’t just happen once. It happens all the time at both the macro and the micro level. One of my guiding principles is, “We are all in transition. Every one of us. All the time.” And it is reality where our creative genius shows itself to the world.
