Very true. I learned in my first writing gig 24 years ago, the value of simplicity. I had 500 words once a month in the local newspaper. So, I got rid of adjectives, adverbs, articles, and run-on sentences. The constant battle is not writing, but editing. I edit as I go, and then go back and do another edit after I am done. Still I find the need to make changes. My book, Circle of Impact, went through six edits after the manuscript was submitted. I am still finding spelling and grammatical errors in it. I guess the trick is to see that imperfection is its own form of beauty.
