Yesterday I sang to a sealion who followed me, curiously, as I paddled through the soft undulating rhythms of his home. I imagined him enchanted by my song, for he came closer.
I think the idea that we all have an artisan inside us is an important one, it's an empowering idea, in most of us it is likely suppressed and we forget it is there and needs an outlet.
I wonder sometimes whether there is something of an “imposter” element- “What, me, create stuff? I'm not qualified...” It feels like an area worth tackling; to rediscover that teenager who didn't know they weren’t qualified to get on stage....
