Donella Meadow's list is on my mind at the moment. Creative talent is an organisation's weak spots because of the combination of the personal contrainsts they place on the behaviour of those at the edge, and also because of their current aversion to investment with a shade of risk. That Ch'i energy has to go somewhere, and it seems a reasonable thought that it might go to other ch'i energy inside and outside the organisation until it has enough mass to attract small speculative investment from markets that are stuffed to the gills with capital. Maybe one of the things we can do as artisans is to be at the confluence of those energies, and help it along a little......

Over the past half century, there has been a lot of investment in time, money, and intellectual capital in the creation of systems. The result is the world that we have at our door step. I am beginning to ask the question as to whether our systems are sophisticated mind tricks to rationalize what we wanted to do anyway. I am asking the question about where accountability for the systems that have created the world is possible.

Love this and sense the further we move upstream the more likely we are to find places where interventions may be possible for Chi energy to emerge and be applied. The return of Citizen assemblies crossed my mind (e.g. the Living Cities project - livingcities.earth). All power to the artisans, heretics and rebels.
